1What happened
our design agent sent images to the owner in a Basecamp chat by putting an attachment tag inside the message text. The message arrived as text only, and the owner asked where the images were.
2What we did
Stopped putting attachment tags in chat text. Basecamp chat drops them.
Uploaded each image to the chat as a file, so it shows up as its own line.
Read the chat back after every send to confirm the file lines were there.
3How we know it worked
the next images showed in the chat as files, and the owner opened them.
