Overview

This Privacy Policy explains what information Bluhook Inc. collects when you use bluhook.com, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the site, you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

Information you give us: your name, your email address, your phone number if you choose to add it, and anything you include in a message when you use our contact form or email us.

If you take our AI score quiz: your email address, your answers, and your website address if you add it.

If you use our fit chat: your answers, including your business details, your team size and revenue range, and the problems you describe, plus the contact details you give us. We use them to judge whether we're a fit and to follow up with you.

Information collected automatically: basic, privacy-respecting usage data such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, referring source, and the ad or link that brought you to the site (campaign tags), used to keep the site fast and reliable.

How we use your information

To work out your AI score and email you the results; to send you the Robb on AI newsletter (every issue has an unsubscribe link, and you can also email hello@bluhook.com to be removed); to respond to your inquiry and follow up with you; and to operate, secure, and improve the site.

If you take the AI score quiz, we use your email to send your score and up to 2 follow-up emails about it. If you tick the newsletter box, we show a link that opens Substack with your email filled in, so you can confirm your Robb on AI subscription there. We don't subscribe you ourselves. Robb on AI is Robb Lejuwaan's newsletter, sponsored by Bluhook and sent through Substack.

We do not sell your personal information.

Text messages

If you give us your mobile number and tick the text box on our client onboarding form, Bluhook sends recurring automated informational texts about your own Bluhook account: reports, items waiting for your approval, and replies to your questions. Up to 4 messages a week, only between 8 AM and 9 PM in your time zone. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message and data rates may apply.

If you work with us on a client project and say yes when we ask, Bluhook's AI assistant, Anna, may also text you, or a small group you're in, about that project's schedules, approvals and status. Message frequency varies. See our SMS terms for how this works.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.

When you opt in, we keep a record of the time, your IP address, the page and the exact wording you agreed to.

Third-party services

We use a small number of providers to run the site: Vercel (hosting), Resend (email delivery), Substack (the Robb on AI newsletter), Stripe (payments), Cal.com (scheduling), Supabase (where we store your contact details and answers), Anthropic (its Claude AI reads your fit chat answers to help judge whether we're a fit), Perplexity and Google Gemini (if you use our AI search check, they receive your business name, city and what your business does, or your practice area, so we can see how AI search answers about you), and Google Analytics and PostHog (usage analytics). Stripe handles your card details directly; we never see or store them. The analytics tools set cookies and record pages viewed, device and browser type, referring source, and approximate location from your IP address. Each provider processes data under its own privacy policy.

Cookies & analytics

We use cookies for the analytics described above and to keep the site working. You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings; the site still works without them.

Data retention

We keep the information you provide only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law, then delete or de-identify it.

Client data: after a client leaves, they can ask for an export for 90 days.

Your choices

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to stop contacting you, at any time by emailing hello@bluhook.com. We will honor applicable privacy rights, including those under US state privacy laws where they apply to you.

Children

Our site and services are intended for businesses and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
