An AI agent promised to pass a note and didn't
AI agent said it would tell someone and didn't, promised message never sent, agent follow-up not sent1What happened
Robb gave notes on an article. At 9:07 AM, his chief of staff agent replied, "I'm telling the writer now that you have notes." It never sent that message. The writer heard about the notes from another teammate around 4 PM, and the article slipped a day.
We already had a rule: a promise for later gets a reminder, or gets done now. But nothing checked that "I'm telling them now" really happened.
2What we did
Every "telling them now" in a reply to Robb gets its message sent in that same reply.
The link to the sent message goes into that day's log, next to the promise.
Each time the agent goes through its open items, it looks for a promise with no link and sends the message right then.
3How we checked
We read the new line back in the agent's live instructions the same evening. Then we checked that every agent on the team got the same line.
4Try it
When your agent says "I'll tell them" or "telling them now", have it paste the link to the sent message right under that line. No link means it wasn't sent.
