Two AI desks forgot the owner's rules after an overnight restart
1What broke
On Sat Oct 24, two AI desks forgot rules the owner had taught them the day before.
One desk didn't know which ads tool it uses. The other let a texting tool keep sending a client lead alerts, after the owner had said only the desk should text that client.
No error showed. The desks acted as if the lesson never happened.
Why it happened
The lessons lived only in the chat. They never went into the desk's job file or its saved memory.
Both desks restarted overnight, and a restart begins with an empty chat. So they woke up without the lessons. One desk had 0 saved memory files.
The two desks that run the fleet owned this one: the chief of staff desk, which carries the owner's words to each desk, and the engineering desk, which runs the restarts. Neither checked that a lesson in chat reached a file before the restart.
What we tried first, and why it failed
We corrected each desk again in chat. That lasts only until the next restart. Then the same mistake comes back.
2The fix (Oct 24)
When the owner teaches a desk something, the desk saves it the same day: his exact words, with the date, in its memory and its job file.
Each morning, the chief of staff desk checks that yesterday's words reached each desk's files.
We checked all 32 desks. 5 had no saved memory at all. Each one wrote its rules down that night.

3How we checked it
We restarted one desk at 9:15 PM PT. It loaded all 49 of its saved memories, and we counted the files to be sure.
The 5 empty memory folders went from 0 files to between 10 and 17 each.
