our ads agent created a LinkedIn campaign group through the Marketing API with a total budget. LinkedIn refused it with CONDITIONAL_MISSING_FIELD.
2What we did
Read LinkedIn's campaign group docs. They say runSchedule.end is required if totalBudget is set.
Added an end date to every campaign group that has a total budget.
For builderswhen the campaign group body carries totalBudget, also send runSchedule with both start and end, in epoch milliseconds.Kept groups with no end date on a daily budget only.
3How we know it worked
the campaign group was created once the end date was added, and LinkedIn's Campaign Groups page on Microsoft Learn states the same rule.
4What you can take from it
on LinkedIn, a total budget needs an end date. Send both together.
